Terence Crawford is 41 fights into an outstanding professional career and so has a keen eye for top talent.
The 37-year-old from Omaha, Nebraska remains unbeaten as a professional, winning world titles across four weight divisions to date as well as capturing the undisputed championship at super-lightweight and welterweight.
As Crawford comes towards the end of his career, training partner and newly-crowned WBO lightweight champion Keyshawn Davis has emerged as one of the brightest talents in boxing over the last twelve months.
Speaking on Ring Champs with Ak & Barak, Crawford was asked if he believes Davis would be victorious in a showdown with Gervonta Davis and made the bold claim that there is nobody in the surrounding weights that beats him.
“Keyshawn beats everybody.”
Crawford was then asked to share his thoughts on the unlikelihood of Keyshawn ever locking horns with close friend and reigning WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson – another man he says beats all comers – who has also been on a collision course with ‘Tank’ Davis for quite some time.
“Yeah that’s cool, they don’t need to fight each other, they can beat up everybody else.”
Davis captured the WBO title at 135lbs with a dominant victory over Denys Berinchyk on February 14, stopping the previously unbeaten Ukrainian in the fourth round.
The 26-year-old from Norfolk, Virginia will make the first defence of his title against Edwin De Los Santos in his hometown of Norfolk, Virginia on Saturday June 7.
