Terence Crawford Hits Back At Champion Who Called Him Out For Comeback: “You Bum”

Terence Crawford has responded to a newly-crowned world champion who recently issued a call-out to the former pound-for-pound great.

Crawford drew the curtain on his decorated professional career back in December, just a couple of months on from his monumental victory over Mexican superstar Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.

‘Bud’ defeated Canelo via unanimous decision at the conclusion of their Las Vegas showdown in September to capture the undisputed super-middleweight championship and become the first male fighter to achieve this feat in three separate divisions.

Whilst many consider Crawford to be one of the greatest fighters of all time, one man that isn’t convinced by the credentials of ‘Bud’ is newly-crowned WBC world welterweight champion Ryan Garcia.

In response to a recent social media post made by Garcia, Crawford brandishes Garcia as a ‘bum’ as he claims the 27-year-old was gifted an opportunity to fight for the world title.

“Too bad you wouldn’t have beat anyone I fought tough guy that knows boxing. You just now becoming a champ by default. You lost then they gifted you a title shot after a loss because you just not that guy and they wanna make money off you bum.”

Garcia pulled off the best victory of his career to date back in February when he defeated Mario Barrios via unanimous decision to claim the coveted WBC welterweight title at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

‘King Ry’ is set to return to action this summer, with Teofimo Lopez mentioned as a possible opponent, and a victory there could see Crawford change his opinion of his rival.
