Terence Crawford Reacts To ‘Trash’ Mike Tyson Performance Against Jake Paul

Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul was a difficult watch for many boxing fans.

The two men finally faced off at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in what was the first ever live boxing event broadcast on Netflix.

There were concerns heading into the fight about the age of Tyson, who was now 58-years-old, and those fears weren’t eased when ‘Iron Mike’ was wearing a knee support in the bout.

He didn’t appear to show any signs of the ‘Iron Mike’ of old, with Paul dominating the majority of the action and claiming a unanimous decision win after their eight two-minute round contest with scores of 80-72, 79-73 and 79-73.

Despite his performance, Tyson hinted that he may look to fight again, even suggesting that he could now take a fight with Jake’s brother Logan Paul.

Pound-for-pound king Terence Crawford is one of those who doesn’t want to see ‘Iron Mike’ back in the ring, hitting back on social media at those who have claimed it was a good showing from the boxing legend.

“I love Mike Tyson, but they giving him too much credit. He looked like trash, to train that long and only throw 97 punches the whole fight is crazy. I’m just glad he didn’t get hurt out there.”

It was Tyson’s first professional fight since way back in 2005, and the first time he’d been in the ring since an exhibition with fellow boxing legend Roy Jones Jr in 2020, and Jones needed just three words to sum up his thoughts after the Tyson vs. Paul fight.
