Terence Crawford Called Out By World Champion For Double Undisputed Fight

Pound-for-pound great Terence Crawford has been called out for a double undisputed championship showdown against an unbeaten star.

The 38-year-old from Omaha secured his place in the boxing history books once again last month when he defeated Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez via unanimous decision to capture the undisputed super-middleweight championship at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Crawford put on an outstanding display against the Mexican icon to become the first male fighter in boxing history to win an undisputed championship in three weight classes, having already accomplished this feat at super-lightweight and welterweight respectively.

As rumours begin to circulate about what could come next for Crawford, the unbeaten 38-year-old appears to have been offered a sensational double undisputed championship clash with unified world middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly, who currently holds the WBO and IBF titles at 160lbs.

Speaking on social media, Alimkhanuly set his sights on a potential match-up with ‘Bud’ at some stage in 2026, as he first targets undisputed status at middleweight by ‘next May’.

“What do you guys think about this? By next May, I’ll have all four belts. And if by then Crawford is still holding all four in his division, we’ll have a clash of two undisputed champions in the fall of 2026!”

It has been reported over the last few weeks that Janibek is set to clash with WBA middleweight champion Erislandy Lara in a three-belt unification bout next, where a win there would leave the 32-year-old just one victory away from becoming the undisputed middleweight champion
