UFC CEO turned boxing promoter Dana White has shared his verdict on the upcoming clash between Gervonta Davis and Jake Paul.

Reigning WBA lightweight champion ‘Tank’ Davis will face ‘The Problem Child’ at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Friday November 14, the latest high-profile bout to be shown live on Netflix around the world.

Whilst the official fight rules and weight class are yet to be confirmed by either fighter, it is expected that Davis will around a 50lb weight disadvantage against the YouTuber-turned-boxer, who has won all but one of his professional bouts since making his debut back in 2020.

Speaking on Impaulsive with Logan Paul, White said that he believes Davis is just ‘too small’ to be sharing the ring with someone like Jake, linking their clash back to when Logan faced former pound-for-pound star Floyd Mayweather as it is likely to be a similar difference in weight.

“You guys need to fight guys your f**king same size, you know what I mean? When you [Logan Paul] fought Floyd [Mayweather]… you are massive, you’re a massive f**king dude, Floyd’s tiny and I’m sure when you were training you’re like ‘Alright, I’m gonna hit this guy with a couple punches and grab him, tie him up’ and he did hit you with a f**king bomb overhand right one time and you f**king ate it, you ate that punch.

“Gervonta I think hits way harder than Floyd but he’s too small. Your brother’s gonna be able to get inside on him, put his weight on him, tie him up.”

Fans and experts alike have expressed their concerns towards ‘Tank’ being allowed to face ‘The Problem Child’ next, especially considering the 30-year-old Baltimore-native stands at eight inches shorter than him and weighed in an over 60 pounds lighter than Paul ahead of his bout with Roach back in March.
