Dana White has been asked for his thoughts on the upcoming match-up between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul.

Paul was due to fight Gervonta Davis this month, but called the event off after the three-weight world champion was accused of battery and kidnapping.

Since then, he was linked with the likes of Ryan Garcia and Andre Ward, but it is Joshua that has got the fight, despite ‘The Problem Child’ being a cruiserweight with just 13 fights under his belt.

Paul has so far fought and beaten the almost 60-year-old Mike Tyson, ageing former super middleweight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and a slew of old MMA fighters, including Nate Diaz, with one loss on his record to Tommy Fury from 2022.

Joshua has not fought for more than a year since his loss to Daniel Dubois last September, but is a whole different kettle of fish to any of Paul’s other opponents.

In a post on X shared by Happy Punch, UFC kingpin White gave his honest view on the fight.

Oh Jesus. That’s a f*cking bad idea, but let me tell you what, a lot of people will watch that one. You know what everyone is tying in for on that one. I think everybody’s gonna get what they’ve finally been waiting for.”

White clearly foresees a big knockout win for Joshua, as does the rest of the world. He is a former two-time heavyweight world champion who has stopped the likes of Dillian Whyte, Wladimir Klitschko and Kubrat Pulev in impressive fashion.

Arguably, the closest comparisons to a fight with Paul would be his brutal demolition of former MMA champion Francis Ngannou whom he stopped inside two rounds back in 2024.
