Daniel Dubois is currently plotting a ring return to get back to winning ways.

The former IBF champion had been on a tear across 2023 and 2024 when he stopped Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic, and Anthony Joshua.

However, the big-punching Brit came unstuck when he fought Oleksandr Usyk for a second time back in August, losing by knockout as the Ukrainian became a two-time undisputed ruler in the division.

Having made changes to his team, linking up with trainer Tony Sims, Dubois is set to return to action in the coming months with an opponent to be decided. As well as showing interest in a rematch with Joshua, another contender has now thrown his name into he hat for a potential showdown.

Speaking to talkSPORT Boxing, Agit Kabayel was asked about his next move and called out ‘DDD’.

“I fight in Germany first of all and make my homecoming and then after, you know, I fight with Daniel, why not? In the UK or Germany. I think this is a good fight for the fans, I hate trash talk, so I will not make trash talk. I think for the fans this is a sport competition, he fights two time with Usyk, he fights with ‘AJ’, why not he fight with Kabayel?”

Kabayel has made impressive moves in the last couple of years and has got himself into a great position for a title shot as WBC Interim Champion. The 33-year-old German has won all 26 of his contests so far, 18 by KO, and most impressively, he has stopped all three of Arslanbek Makhmudov, Frank Sanchez and Zhilei Zhang since December 2023, so would present a tough challenge for Dubois.

He has a homecoming fight in Germany on January 10 with confirmation of his dance partner expected soon.
