Daniel Dubois Didn’t Hesitate When Asked If Tyson Fury Would Beat A Prime Lennox Lewis

Daniel Dubois is the most recently crowned world heavyweight champion and he has been asked about a fantasy fight between former champions Tyson Fury and Lennox Lewis

The heavyweight division is as exciting as it has been for many years. Back in September, Dubois defended his IBF world title against Anthony Joshua in explosive fashion with a fifth-round stoppage win against the former two-time champion.

It was his first proper fight as champion having been evaluated to that status following his win over Filip Hrgovic back in June.

Meanwhile, in May, Oleksandr Usyk and Fury battled it out for the undisputed crown, which was the first time that honour had been up in the air for almost 25 years since Lewis was the last man to hold all the major belts simultaneously.

Usyk came out on top in that close fight, and now both men are deep in camp ahead of a rematch in December this year.

Speaking to Pod Lounge, Dubois was asked to pick a winner between Fury and Lewis if they were to meet in their primes and he went with the last British undisputed champion.

“Lennox.”

Lewis is one of the most respected heavyweights of all time having beaten the likes of Mike Tyson, Frank Bruno, Evander Holyfield and Vitali Klitschko and after avenging the only two losses on his career with knockouts over Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman.

Dubois is now on the lookout for his next opponent after Joshua decided against going into the immediate rematch.
