The tension is mounting and the talk is building ahead of Daniel Dubois and Anthony Joshua‘s heavyweight showdown in September.

This all-British clash comes when both men are in good periods of their boxing careers. Dubois is the younger and more inexperienced man but he has checked plenty of things off his list up to now including wins on foreign soil, coming back from a difficult loss against Joe Joyce, coming through sustained pressure against Jarrell Miller last year and overcoming a top rated fighter in Fillip Hrgovic last time out.

His current record sits at 21-2 with 20 wins by knockout and is the current IBF belt holder having been elevated to full champion when Oleksandr Usyk vacated.

His power has long been touted as his best asset and now former opponent Miller has told Fight Hub TV that will be his key to victory against Joshua, who he says has fought easy opponents recently.

“Otto Wallin is probably the only one on paper who looked decent but Otto I feel didn’t show up. He fought Robert Helenius who got knocked try Deontay [Wilder] and he hasn’t been Top 10 for I don’t know how long. He fought Francis Ngannou an MMA fighter and he may bank on that fight but he’s not a boxer, so you think about it he’s not fighting any Top 10, 15 guys, he’s fighting guys not anywhere near the level we’re fighting now.”

He then assessed the fight with Dubois and claimed Joshua’s chin will let him down.

“He’s fighting Dubois now and I’m kind of rooting for Dubois you know. If Dubois hits that chin it’s night night. He don’t have that kind of chin, man. I think a knockout will come. They both have big punches, they both can hit hard, I think Dubois has better durability than ‘AJ.'”

Joshua is high on confidence right now having put together four good wins, three of which were by knockout, against Helenius, Wallin and Ngannou. Should he come through this fight he will become a three-time world heavyweight.
