Daniel Dubois is looking to get back to winning ways in 2026 and looks set to go straight back in at the deep end with some big punchers.

The Brit is a former IBF world champion who had a sensational 2024 that started with him knocking out Jarell Miller, then Fillip Hrgovic, then being promoted to world champion and defending this strap against Anthony Joshua with an impressive five-round destruction in September.

He fought just once in 2025, losing by KO to Oleksandr Usyk for a second time before making changes to his backroom team. He is now back in training and looking to return to the ring in the springtime.

Speaking to First Round TV, Dubois’ manager Sam Jones laid out his ideal next opponents.

“Outside of the Furys an the AJs and the Usyks, Daniel Dubois is probably the biggest name there so that would be the biggest financial fight for Fabio so we’d love that fight but again it would be a voluntary fight so the buck stops with Fabio.

“We’ve got a keen eye on Agit Kabayel fighting this weekend and Daniel fancies that s well but his next fight won’t be a warm-up fight or anything like that it will be straight into a massive fight for Daniel.”

Wardley is on a good run, having stopped Justis Hunt and Joseph Parker in his last two fights, while Kabayel – who returns this weekend against Damian Knyba – has beat Zhilei Zhang and Arslanbek Makmuhdov inside the distance. Both fights present intriguing match-ups for Dubois, who is no slouch in the power department himself.
