Daniel Dubois is taking the status of world heavyweight champion in his stride.

The young Brit, who was once accused of quitting in a fight against Joe Joyce, has been transformed to one of the most confident, and therefore dangerous, fighters in the division.

After an unsuccessful bid for Oleksandr Usyk’s unified heavyweight world titles in August of 2023, Dubois handed Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic their first losses, both via stoppage.

He became IBF Interim World Champion and was elevated to the full titlist when Usyk vacated the belt. Facing questions of whether or not his championship was legitimate, Dubois silenced all doubters by dispatching of heavyweight poster-boy Anthony Joshua in five rounds in front of a record-breaking Wembley Stadium crowd.

DAZN’s Ade Oladipo has now revealed that the 27-year-old has set out a three-man hit-list of Joseph Parker, booked for February 22, Oleksandr Usyk to become undisputed, and heavyweight bogeyman Martin Bakole.

Usyk is reportedly set on facing the winner of Dubois vs Parker so, with the backing of Riyadh Season and Turki Alalshikh, that fight is as good as made if Dubois can hold on to his belt.

Bakole, who has made a lot of noise about making Dubois ‘quit’ in sparring after breaking his nose, has been ordered to face Efe Ajagba in a final eliminator to secure the IBF’s mandatory slot for a shot at the belt. The fight is yet to be made official, however an announcement is expected soon.
