Dave Allen has been discussing the upcoming rematch between generational rivals Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn.

The pair first fought back in April after more than two years of animosity and build-up. It was the naturally bigger and more experienced Eubank who got the win after 12 hard-fought rounds in which both men gave their all and threw plenty of shots with real intent.

They do it all again in November in the same weight division, with Benn coming up and Eubank being hampered by a rehydration clause.

Popular British heavyweight Allen has now offered his take on the upcoming second meeting, as speaking on his own YouTube channel, ‘The White Rhino’ predicted a reversal of the first result in the rematch.

“If I had to put my neck on the line at this stage, I’m going to go for a Conor Benn win. My old man would definitely disagree; he’d say Eubank is still going to be too big, too good.

“I just think the combination of Eubank having to make the weight again, cause he definitely struggled, the rehydration clause, maybe it’s not going to be the issue people say it is, it’s still going to be an issue.

“And that coincided with him not getting any younger, and it was a really hard fight, and that will have done Conor Benn some good; he’s got more experience, he’s been there now, he knows he can bother Eubank; he knows he can hurt him. I’m going to go for a Conor Benn win.”

If Benn does win, he has already been mentioned as a possible opponent for IBF welterweight world champion Lewis Crocker, while Allen himself fights in front of a sell-out crowd in Sheffield against Arslanbek Makhmudov on October 11.
