Dave Allen has sparred with both Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury so he is confident he knows what will happen when the pair rematch.
Allen is a popular British heavyweight who has fought plenty of big names including Dillian Whyte, David Price and Luis Ortiz, and has also spared plenty of others.
He famously travelled to Ukraine to spar Usyk and shared a video of him being knocked out on his feet back in October 2020 which he said is something that no man had ever done to him before, and it ultimately lead him to retire a few weeks later.
The Doncaster man u-turned on that decision and is to fight Johnny Fisher on the undercard of the Fury and Usyk rematch in December.
The first fight back in May saw former undisputed cruiserweight king Usyk crowned undisputed heavyweight champion after a close contest which was largely decided by one standout with round. That came in the ninth when Usyk sent his man reeling around the ring with a big right hand that ended with Fury taking a standing 8 count.
Speaking to talkSPORT Boxing, Allen was asked for his prediction.
“I think Fury wins.
I sparred all of them, boxed all of them, he’s the best fighter I’ve ever been in the ring with. He’s the best fighter I’ve ever been in the gym with. He’s special. So is Usyk, but he’s too small.
Fury should have won the first fight. If he corrects a few things he stops him.”
