Dave Allen is looking to win a title in his next fight.
Allen is one of the most popular heavyweights in the game. The Doncaster man has never shied away from a big fight and is a straight talker outside of the ring, as well as an entertaining one inside it.
He has had an up-and-down career and has often taken time away from the sport to fight on small hall shows, but has been on a decent run of late.
After a controversial draw with Johnny Fisher in their first match, he won the rematch by KO and last time out put on an impressive performance against towering Russian Arslanbek Makmuhdov. Despite that, he came out on the wrong side of a points loss but found renewed confidence to push on again in 2026.
Speaking on his own YouTube channel, Allen revealed his interest in taking on the newly crowned British heavyweight champion Jeamie TKV next.
“Can’t review the fight, I’ve not seen it. But upon hearing the result … [Eddie Hearn and I] looked at each other at the same time and went ‘Oh, TKV won.’ And I said ‘Can we get him to Sheffield?’ and he said ‘We’d like to.”
TKV beat Clarke this past weekend and very nearly had his man out in round 11 after boxing well across the whole fight. Clarke, who has also drawn with and lost to the newly crowned WBO ruler and former British champion Fabio Wardley, survived only to lose a split decision, making this a third failed attempt at the British title.
