It has been revealed when much-loved British heavyweight favourite Dave Allen will be back in the ring.
‘The White Rhino’ has had a storied career with many ups and downs over the last ten years. In the early part of his career, he always seemed to be thrown in the deep end to spice up Matchroom cards and fought tough opponents like Dillian Whyte, Luis Ortiz and David Price.
His best wins have been against Lucas Browne, Nick Webb and when he stopped Johnny Fisher earlier this year, having been on what many thought was the wrong end of a points decision in their first fight.
Last time out, he took on another fearsome foe in the towering Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov in an entertaining battle, though he ended up with a loss on the cards at the end of the 12 rounds.
A new post on X by Everything Boxing has the details of his return in early 2026 on the undercard of a huge fight between Leigh Wood and Josh Warrington in Nottingham.
“DAVIS & ALLEN ON WOOD-WARRINGTON 2
✅ Eddie Hearn has said that British and Commonwealth champion Ishmael Davis and heavyweight Dave Allen will return on the Feb. 21 Leigh Wood-Josh Warrington undercard.
💥 Allen is expected to return in a 8/10 round fight before headlining in the summer.”
There is not yet any indication who Allen may be fighting, but given the number of rounds, it is likely to be one to get him back to winning ways before matching him with bigger names later in the year.
