Former heavyweight contender David Price thinks one man is the fresher, stronger fighter when it comes to Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker.

After weeks of build-up, there are now just a few days to go until Dubois’ second defence of his IBF world title.

He first became a world title holder after being evaluated to full champion following his impressive knockout defeat of Fillip Hrgovic in June last year.

He very much cemented his status as a champion in September when he knocked out Anthony Joshua inside five rounds at Wembley Stadium, despite going into the fight as an underdog.

Parker presents another tough challenge for the Brit. He is a former WBO world champion who has proven his durability as well as technical ability with wins over the likes of Zhilei Zhang and Deontay Wilder in his last two outings.

Speaking to Pro Boxing Fans, Price was asked who he thought would come out on top and went with the Brit.

“Dubois for me. Both got really good momentum coming off big wins over good fighters in the last 18 months or so. Parker’s got a new lease of life under Andy Lee, boxing really well.

“But Dubois, again, since his new coach has come in Don Charles has got the best out of him. I said a while ago that Don Charles would be good for an Anthony Joshua trainer, Dubois got him and he’s paying dividends really.

“The momentum for both is good but the level of opponents of Dubois is just above and he’s fresher, younger, stronger, I think he will win late.”

Whoever comes out top will likely be keen to go into an undisputed contest with current three-belt heavyweight ruler Oleksandr Usyk later in 2025.
