Gervonta Davis Branded ‘The Dumbest Dude In The History Of Boxing’ By Hall Of Fame Legend

Three-weight world champion Gervonta Davis has been slammed by a Hall of Fame great in a sensational claim.

Reigning WBA lightweight champion ‘Tank’ Davis found himself named in a civil lawsuit regarding domestic allegations last week which led to the cancellation of his exhibition showdown with Youtuber-turned-fighter Jake Paul.

The 30-year-old from Baltimore was set to make his return to the ring against Paul in a ten round bout at the Kaseya Center in Miami on November 14, but is now in another difficult position as fans and analysts are left wondering whether he could actually go on to announce his retirement from the sport.

One man who isn’t impressed with ‘Tank’ is two-weight world champion Tim Bradley, who after a successful fighting career has become one of the leading voices in the sport, and he has been extremely vocal about the actions of Davis.

Speaking on his own YouTube channel, Bradley brandished Davis as ‘the dumbest dude in boxing history’ after his showdown with Paul fell through.

“You gotta be the dumbest dude, I mean in the history of boxing bro. $40 million down the drain. You gotta be the dumbest dude I’ve ever seen in the history of boxing. Seriously. $40 million. Wealth. Literally wealth. Gone down the drain. I don’t understand it.”

Davis actually revealed earlier this year that he had planned to announce his retirement from boxing by the end of 2025, meaning that his controversial draw with countryman Lamont Roach Jr back in March could prove to be the final ring appearance of his storied career.
