Gervonta Davis has revealed the one fighter who he believes punches harder than Ryan Garcia.

The 30-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland locked horns with Garcia in a non-title showdown back in April 2023 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The fight attracted a large amount of attention from boxing fans all over the world, in particular residents of the United States with Showtime reporting after the bout that there had been roughly 1.2 million pay-per-view buys.

In a classic Davis performance, the American superstar pulled off another devastating display of power to knock ‘King Ry’ out with a ferocious body shot in the seventh round, becoming the first fighter to defeat Garcia.

Despite being arguably the toughest test of his career up to that point, ‘Tank’ has admitted that Garcia is not actually as hard-hitting as many claim.

In an interview with Fight Hype, Davis revealed Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero as a harder puncher than ‘King Ry’ after sharing the ring with both.

“I ain’t gonna lie, Rolly hit hard. People been sleeping on Rolly. He ain’t got no chin on him so Rolly be getting caught but Rolly can hit bro, like he can hit. He’s the only person that I’ve felt like when he’s swung it felt like bricks were in his gloves.”

Davis faced Romero back in May 2022, knocking out the 29-year-old inside six rounds to retain his WBA lightweight crown.

‘Rolly’ bounced back from this defeat to capture the WBA super lightweight title against Ismael Barroso one year later, although he would go on to lose it to Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz in his next outing.

Garcia and Romero are set to face one another in May, where the battle of who hits harder will officially be put to the test.
