Gervonta Davis World Champion Rival Makes Emphatic Jake Paul Fight Prediction: “He Has No Chance”

An unbeaten world lightweight champion has spoken out ahead of Gervonta Davis‘ controversial showdown with Jake Paul.

The boxing world was shocked just under a fortnight ago when it was announced that WBA lightweight champion ‘Tank’ Davis would face former YouTuber Paul on Friday November 14 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

Paul is back in action after claiming the latest victory in his boxing career in June, defeating former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr by unanimous decision in their cruiserweight bout.

It appeared that Davis was initially set for a rematch with Lamont Roach following their majority decision draw in March, but these plans were eventually shelved and he has made the shock decision to collide with Paul.

Another fight that boxing fans would have liked to see ‘Tank’ in is a unification clash with WBC lightweight champion and fierce rival Shakur Stevenson, who has now offered his take on the upcoming Paul vs Davis fight.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Stevenson predicted his lightweight rival to ‘outbox’ the Youtuber-turned-boxer.

“I mean size will play some part in the fight but if I’m thinking like I’m Tank I’m probably just gonna go out there and try to outbox him and use my knowledge and IQ against him so I can see Tank just outboxing him and making it real easy.”

Stevenson was then asked if he believes Paul has any chance of pulling off the upset and defeating Davis.

“No … Nope.”

There have been concerns raised about Davis stepping into the ring against Paul, especially considering the 30-year-old from Baltimore stands at eight inches shorter than his fellow countryman, and weighed in at over 60 pounds lighter than him ahead of his showdown with Roach back in March.
