Oscar De La Hoya was furious watching Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul.
The controversial fight finally went ahead last week, with Paul dominating the boxing legend on his way to a unanimous decision victory.
Tyson struggled to compete throughout the eight two-minute rounds, looking every bit of his 58-years-old against his much younger opponent.
De La Hoya has revealed his frustration in the bout whilst talking to IFL TV, aiming all of his anger at the Youtuber-turned-boxer.
“I watched it and while watching it I felt disgusted. Disgusted at Jake Paul for putting this together knowing Tyson was 58-years-old. I’m a fighter myself and I once tried coming back at 48-years-old and my body just shut down.
“When you’re going to fight a 27-year-old like Jake Paul, against Tyson, who is a legend and a national treasure, a world treasure, I felt disgusted. Not at Mike Tyson, I felt bad for Tyson but I’m proud of Tyson.”
De La Hoya then revealed that he would be willing to put Paul in with his current unified cruiserweight champion Gilberto Ramirez.
“Jake, if you want to fight Zurdo right now, let’s do it and he will knock you out.”
Ramirez added the WBO belt to his WBA crown when he defeated Chris Billam-Smith by unanimous decision in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, extending his record to 47-1 in the process.
He isn’t the only world champion to be linked to a fight with Paul, after current undisputed light-heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev offered to face ‘The Problem Child.’
