Terence Crawford has proved himself to be one of the greatest fighters of his generation over the course of his career.

Since making his professional debut back in 2008, the 37-year-old from Omaha, Nebraska has won world titles across four weight classes and remains unbeaten in 41 outings.

As well as being a four-division champion, ‘Bud’ has also captured the undisputed championship at both super-lightweight and welterweight, becoming the first fighter within the ‘four belt’ era to achieve this feat in both weight classes. He next faces super-middleweight ruler Canelo Alvarez this September.

Despite his considerable success, fighter-turned-promoter Oscar De La Hoya has backed a legendary former world champion to get the better of a prime version of Crawford in a shock claim.

In a round of ‘Knockout’ with Mail Sport Boxing, De La Hoya backed eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao to defeat ‘Bud’ via knockout, had the duo clashed during their respective prime years.

“Oh at their prime? Yeah [Manny] Pacquiao, knockout.”

At the peak of his powers, Filipino icon Pacquiao was one of the very best fighters to walk the planet, proving his credentials throughout the course of his long and storied career.

He remains the only eight-division world champion in boxing history, defeating the likes of De La Hoya, Shane Mosley, Juan Manuel Marquez and Miguel Cotto amongst others.

The 46-year-old made a sensational return to the sport last week after a four year hiatus, fighting to a majority decision draw against reigning WBC world welterweight champion Mario Barrios in Las Vegas, proving to many that age is just a number.

‘PacMan’ has already confirmed he intends to continue with his boxing career, with rumours circulating that the 46-year-old could face either Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero or Gervonta Davis next.
