Derek Chisora has been called out by a big-punching heavyweight for his next fight.

Much-loved Londoner ‘Del Boy’ has long since vowed to bow out after his 50th fight and is taking his time to select his next opponent if that indeed does end up being the case.

He has been in good form of late with wins over the likes of Otto Wallin, Gerald Washington and Joe Joyce, and was strongly linked with the likes of Dillian Whyte, who he has already fought twice, through that fight fell through last month.

American Jarrell Miller is also someone who emerged as a possible opponent, but right now, nothing has been confirmed.

Now aged 41 and with 13 losses on his ledger, he has not fought since February, so the clock is ticking.

In a new post on his Instagram, towering Chinese heavyweight Zhilei Zhang suggested to Chisora they should make a fight “for the fans”.

“Hey, Derek, I’m waiting. What are you doing?”

This would indeed likely be an entertaining battle between two men who throw big punches but are also relatively hittable and not hugely mobile, given their advancing years.

Zhang is older at 42 and is a former Olympic medalilst but has not had as many professional rounds as Chisora, who has long lived up to his famous ‘War’ mantra, despite never winning a legitimate world title across his long career.

Neither has Zhang, though he has beaten the likes of Joe Joyce twice and Deontay Wilder by knockout, but has lost to Filip Hrgovic, Joseph Parker and Agit Kabayel.
