Derek Chisora thinks he knows what is going to happen when Joseph Parker takes on Fabio Wardley later in October.
These are two in-form heavyweights right now, with Parker on a run that includes beating Deontay Wilder, Zhilei Zhang on points, and stopping Martin Bakole inside two rounds last time out.
Wardley rescued what looked to be heading for a points defeat when he dramatically stopped Justis Hnni late in his last fight, and before that, he stopped fellow Brit Frazer Claire inside the first round in their rematch.
Speaking in a new video on X, fellow heavyweight Chisora, who has fought and lost to Parker on two occasions in the past, believes Wardley has what it takes to get the win by stoppage.
“My prediction for Joseph Parker and Fabio Wardley, I feel like Wardley wins this fight with a knockout. I don’t know why I’m thinking it but you know when you know, it’s like when you play the Lottery and you get your numbers right. I believe Fabio has got his numbers right now ’cause after his last performance he’s got something to prove.
“I’ve known Fabio for a while, Fabio is a little beast. Joseph is a beast as well but Fabio Wardley will win this fight by knockout. Trust me on this. Put your house on this deal. It’s going to be electric.”
If Wardley were to win, he would shoot up the pecking order and could well be in line for a shot at Oleksandr Usyk’s WBO belt after the order was put in place by the governing body early last month.
