Derek Chisora would like to see Fabio Wardley fight former world champion and fellow Brit Daniel Dubois next.

In what was his toughest fight to date, Wardley got a huge win this past weekend against Joseph Parker, who was one of the form men in the division.

It was an entertaining back-and-forth fight that again saw Wardley fall behind on the cards, as in his previous fight against Justis Huni, though again he eventually found the power needed to hurt Parker. The referee decided he had seen enough in the 11th round and stepped in to stop the fight.

The win leaves Wardley as the WBO mandatory for Oleksandr Usyk, and that is a fight he and his team are now pushing to make in 2026.

It seems that not everyone wants Wardley to have that fight though, as speaking to BoxNation, fellow heavyweight Chisora made the case for the Dubois fight instead.

“Take some time, have a fight with Daniel Dubois. That’s a fight for him. Him and Daniel.”

He then made his prediction and sided with the man from Ipswich, given the power he continues to show in the ring.

“I see Fabio winning it. Fabio is tough, you know, Fabio hasn’t got a lot of boxing skills. What he has is heart. When you fight somebody with heart, bro, it’s going to be a hard night. He gets hit, he comes on coming.”

Former IBF heavyweight champion Dubois would be another stiff test for Wardley, while at the same time presenting Dubois with another difficult puzzle to solve, especially coming off the back of a loss to Usyk last time out back in August.
