Three-weight world champion Devin Haney has laid out an interesting two-fight plan which could see him add two more titles to his collection.
The unbeaten 27-year-old from California made his long-awaited return to action last November when he outpointed countryman Brian Norman Jr to capture the WBO world welterweight title in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Haney put on an incredible display against the previously unbeaten American to become a world champion in a fourth weight division and set himself up for a number of intriguing showdowns.
With reports suggesting that ‘The Dream’ has his sights set on unifying the welterweight division, the 27-year-old has now revealed exactly who he would like to face in his next two fights.
Speaking on social media, Haney hinted that he could be in line to lock horns with WBA welterweight champion Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero next, which could lead him on to a potential rematch with former rival Ryan Garcia, who holds the WBC world title at 147lbs.
“Sign up for drug testing h*e.. then we can fight after I beat Rolly”
Haney suffered what was originally the first defeat of his professional career when he faced Garcia in April of 2024, although the result was eventually chalked off when it was revealed that ‘King Ryan’ had tested positive for a banned substance ahead of the bout.
The American duo have both expressed an interest in facing each other for a second time, a potential clash that Garcia says could be one of the biggest fights in boxing history.
