Three-weight world champion Devin Haney has welcomed a potential clash with Keyshawn Davis.
‘The Dream’ was last in action back in November when he produced an impressive display against countryman Brian Norman Jr to become the WBO world welterweight champion.
Haney floored Norman in the second round of their bout at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh before he was declared the winner by unanimous decision to extend his unbeaten record to 33-0.
With rumours now circulating about what could be next for Haney, the 27-year-old from California may soon be ordered to make the first defence of his WBO welterweight title against former WBO lightweight champion Davis.
In the WBO’s latest update, Davis was installed as the number one ranked welterweight with the organisation and is expected to be named the mandatory challenger to Haney.
In a social media post made on Tuesday evening, Haney welcomed the possibility of a showdown with ‘The Businessman’ in what could prove to be one of the biggest fights at 147lbs.

Davis made his return to the ring earlier this month when he defeated Nahir Albright via unanimous decision at the conclusion of their rematch at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.
