Devin Haney Releases Explosive Footage Of Him Sucker Punching Gervonta Davis

Years of rumours of what happened when Gervonta Davis sparred Devin Haney in Floyd Mayweather’s gym have been put to rest as the entire footage has now been leaked on social media.

Davis and Haney always both claimed to have gotten the upper hand during the infamous encounter, but the video uploaded to FightHype on YouTube shows both men having success in a raucous, fiery affair.

Sparring sessions at Mayweather’s Las Vegas gym, also known as ‘The Dog House’, are legendary for pushing fighters to the limits without many rules.

Haney took to Twitter to share one specific moment from the video, where he appears to sucker punch Davis when the Baltimore fighter is confronting someone outside the ring.

The leaked footage will add further hype to a potential fight between the two young Americans.

‘The Dream’ was previously undisputed at lightweight, beating George Kambosos Jr twice to capture and retain all the belts. He defended the titles with a controversial win over Vasiliy Lomachenko, with many believing the Ukrainian did enough to get his hand raised.

It was no secret that Haney had troubles making the 135lb limit so moved up to super-lightweight and captured the WBC title in his first outing at the weight against Regis Prograis.

Last time out the 25-year-old suffered a shock first career defeat when he lost to Ryan Garcia by decision having been knocked down three times. However, ‘King Ryan’ subsequently tested positive for a banned substance and will now face a battle to clear his name and keep the victory.

Davis returned to the ring for the first time in over a year on Saturday night against Frank Martin and did what he always does – knock out his opponent, this time with a stunning two punch combination after a typically slow start to the contest.

With Haney unlikely to move back down to 135lbs a fight between the two would require ‘Tank’ to move up to 140.
