Yunier Dorticos, 21-0-( 20) scored a 10th round stoppage win over Youri Kayembre Kalenga, 23-2-(15), to claim the WBA interim cruiserweight title at the Palais des Sports in Paris, France on Friday.
Dorticos decked Kalenga hard with an uppercut in round two of a cracking fight that has both Landing and hurting each other with big punches .
Dorticos was deducted a point for hitting after the bell in round eight but the end came in round ten when Dorticos wobbled Kalenga with a series of punches that forced the referee to step in and stop the fight.
In the co-featured event unbeaten cruiserweight Arsen Goulamirian improved to 17-0-(10), by out-pointing Andrey Knyazev over 10 rounds for the WBA Continental title.
