Daniel Dubois is looking to get back into the boxing ring before the end of 2025.

Dubois has had a storied career already despite being just 28-years-old. He has had 25 fights in all and won 22 after quickly emerging as a huge puncher in his early bouts.

He was derailed somewhat by an early loss to Joe Joyce but rebuilt well and across 2023 and 2024 put together a fine run of wins that elevated him to legitimate world title contender status.

After beating Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic by KO, Dubois then took on Anthony Joshua last September and got another knockout, this time in the fifth round, to retain the IBF belt he earned after being elevated from interim champion.

He was set to defend against Joseph Parker in February but pulled out late in the day due to illness. He returned against Usyk in August this year and lost by KO to the Ukrainian for a second time.

After missing out on the clash with Dubois, Parker fought and stopped Martin Bakole on that card in February and has been waiting for his shot at Usyk’s WBO belt, but will now face Fabio Wardley in October in the meantime.

However, speaking to Sky Sports, Parker admitted that even though there would be no belt on the line, he would still be keen to fight ‘DDD’.

“There is unfinished business and if he wants to get it on, we definitely can. There’s no point in avoiding fights. Whatever they put in front of me, I’ll take. Obviously, I’m very close now to fighting for the championship of the world but I just don’t want to wait around. That’s another way of getting closer to the championship of the world – beating whoever’s in front of me.”

Parker has lived up to that mantra of facing anybody in recent times with impressive wins over Deontay Wilder, Zhilei Zhang and the KO of Bakole in his last three outings.
