Daniel Dubois caused a big upset when he knocked out Anthony Joshua in September.

They met in a huge battle of Britain at Wembley Stadium in London, with Dubois defending his IBF heavyweight title for the first time after he was elevated from interim champion in the summer.

While Dubois may have been the defending champion, Joshua was the favourite heading into the bout, but it was ‘DDD’ who picked up a dominant victory, dropping his opponent multiple times on his way to a fifth round stoppage.

In the immediate aftermath, it was stated that Joshua would take a rematch against Dubois, but that hasn’t materialised after it was reported that ‘AJ’ has lingering injuries preventing his current return.

Instead, Dubois will defend his belt against Joseph Parker in Saudi Arabia in February, on a card that also features the undisputed light-heavyweight title rematch between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.

While his focus may now be on Parker, that hasn’t stopped ‘DDD’ poking fun at Joshua, telling The Guardian in just three words what he thinks of his rival not facing him again.

“Where is he?”

Dubois then insisted that fans need to accept that he’s the new top dog in the division.

“I keep seeing people crying over AJ’s loss rather than celebrating the new king. Come on people! It’s almost like someone has died and the country has gone into mourning. It was like a member of the royal family died.

“I don’t know if everyone else saw it, but I did. Everyone is always talking about AJ. I can’t find him. I think I put him in a retirement home.”

Dubois and Parker met this week for the first time since their title fight was confirmed, and ‘DDD’ had a clear message for his opponent.
