Daniel Dubois is looking for his next opponent after a run of three increasingly impressive wins.

The 27-year-old beat handed Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic their first defeats before being elevated to IBF Heavyweight World Champion. His first defence was a fifth round blowout of Anthony Joshua, legitimising his status as one of the kings of the division.

Though an immediate rematch was targeted, it has since been revealed that ‘AJ’ won’t be ready for February and Dubois will fight then without him.

Speaking to Boxing King Media, Dubois was asked if he had spoken to Joshua since the fight.

“Not as such. I’m in my lane and he’s in his. He’s been at the top for a long time now. Whatever he decides to do next, it’s on him.”

He then reacted to the news that it would not be the second meeting next and was asked about the likes of Joseph Parker being mentioned as his new challenge. Dubois said he wants all comers, but particularly to become a four-belt champion.

“Whoever it is, I’d love a big fight. Whoever wants it can get it. At this moment right now whoever wants it can get it. I’m gonna get back into training soon and sharpen my mind up for whoever they want to throw in with me. But I want to get all the other belts and become undisputed … Put them in front of me and I’ll knock ’em down and send them into retirement.”

The other three world titles are tied up until December 21 when Oleksandr Usyk rematches Tyson Fury. If Fury can reverse the result of the first contest there may be a trilogy. Should he lose again, it’s understood that Joshua will push for a long-awaited clash to happen in Summer of 2025.

That leaves Dubois with a voluntary defence in the meantime. Top heavyweights Parker, Zhilei Zhang, Agit Kabayel and Martin Bakole will all be keen on filling the opposite corner.
