Chris Eubank Jr Posts Worrying Hospital Video And Reveals The Reason He May Never Fight Again

Chris Eubank Jr. has provided a major update on any potential return to the ring.

The Brighton man has had a mixed 2025, defeating long-term rival Conor Benn by unanimous decision in April, before then suffering a one-sided loss in the rematch in November.

While the first bout was a competitive affair between the two, Eubank struggled badly in the second meeting, and did well to see the final bell after being knocked down twice in the last round.

Many fans speculated that the two weight cuts to middleweight along with the rehydration clause for each fight are what hampered Eubank massively in the rematch, with some even suggesting that the 36-year-old should consider retirement.

Eubank has now given the most clear indication yet on whether he plans to hang up the gloves, posting a video on social media showing himself in hospital and explaining that he has been battling issues behind the scenes that could prevent his return to the ring.

“I’ve been dealing with a lot of health issues over the last year & yeah it all finally caught up to me last month. I will not box again until I’m back to 100% & I don’t know when that will be, but one things for certain… For the fans that have supported me through thick & thin, I will do everything in my power to make sure that one day, the old me makes a big comeback.”

While Eubank is non-comital on his future, if he is to compete again, it is likely that he will move back up to the super-middleweight division.
