Chris Eubank Jr. is already looking beyond his next opponent and onto possible contests for 2026.
Eubank Jr is one of the most popular fighters from Britain, but has never held a full world title. The Brighton man has been involved in several high-profile contests, the first of which came against Billy Joe Saunders back in 2015.
He lost a narrow points decision and went on to fight the likes of George Groves who beat him in the World Boxing Super Series, James DeGale whom he beat in 2019, and Liam Smith twice in 2024.
The first fight with Smith was the first time Eubank had ever been put down in the ring and saw him take a shock KO loss, but he avenged that just six months later in the rematch.
In October 2022, he was due to fight generational rival Conor Benn, but the fight fell through when Benn failed a drug test late in the day.
The pair finally got it on in April this year after Benn was cleared to fight, with Eubank running out a unanimous points winner. The rematch is scheduled for November with the same weight conditions. Benn must fight above his natural weight, and Eubank must not add more than 10lbs on the day of the fight.
Per his latest post on X, Eubank has now revealed that he would be keen to take on three-weight undisputed champion Terence Crawford in 2026 after settling the Benn rivalry.
“Eubank x Crawford 2026”
Crawford has just defeated Canelo Alvarez to cement his place in the history books, becoming undisputed super-middleweight champion having previously achieved that status at super-lightweight and welterweight.
Even if Crawford does fight on, it seems a clash against the Brit would be an unlikely contest to make, but stranger things have happened and the American has expressed an interest in a run at middleweight – the only division missing from his incredible run.
