John Fury Urged To Stay Away From Tyson Fury’s Corner For Usyk Rematch By British Boxing Legend

Tyson Fury‘s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk is fast approaching and there is still plenty of debate about how it will play out and which boxer can make the most adjustments.

The first fight back in May was a close and engaging battle. Both men had moments of success, and Fury in particular boxed and moved well early on and landed good uppercuts in the mid-rounds.

However, by the ninth, Fury has since admitted he was a little complacent and got caught with a big shot that sent him back onto the ropes where he was handed a standing eight count by the referee.

Fury saw out the fight but lost narrowly on points and was handed his first-ever loss in a professional ring, but many believe he can turn it around in the second fight.

Since then, Fury’s corner has come in for some criticism as coaches SugarHill Steward, Andy Lee and father ‘Big’ John Fury were all seemingly giving out different instructions on how to approach the final few rounds.

Speaking on his own channel Froch on Fighting, former world champion Carl Froch has now advised Fury’s father to stay away from the ring.

“To be honest I hope he doesn’t rear his head again. That man has gone, he’s vanished. Tyson probably knows that actually, listen dad, I love you to bits, you’ve got my best intentions at heart and you want me to win, but do me a favour, stay out of the way, shut the f**k up.

“They don’t need him in the ring do they. If he surfaces his head in fight week I’ll be shocked. You’ve got SugarHill and Andy Lee, they have experience at world level and know the game inside out. Hopefully, Big John keeps his distance and let the real trainers do the job.”
