Jake Paul is being targeted by a former MMA star that is making waves in boxing.

Paul has become one of the biggest names in combat sports in recent years, with the YouTuber-turned-boxer involved in controversial bouts with aging stars and past legends, such as heavyweight icon Mike Tyson last November.

His upcoming bout sees him take on a current elite fighter, albeit one who he is eight inches taller and around 70 pounds heavier than, as he prepares to face WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia in November.

It’s another fight that has been met by criticism from many of the boxing public, who feel that ‘Tank’ should instead focus on defending his world title in his own division, rather than clash with the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

While Paul is fully focused on his upcoming showdown with Davis, a former UFC title challenger has ‘The Problem Child’ in his sights for a meeting in the near future.

Darren Till is the man in question, who since leaving MMA has competed on Misfits Boxing cards for the past year, claiming victories over Anthony Taylor and Darren Stewart during that time.

Next up he faces former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold this weekend, with Till seemingly hoping that a victory there leads to a match-up against Paul.

Speaking to Compare.bet, Till praised ‘The Problem Child’ for what he has achieved so far in the sport, but says the fight will end early when they meet.

“I think Jake Paul is fantastic for boxing and when we fight it’s gonna be huge. No negotiations yet, but when it happens I’ll knock him clean out in the third round, so remember that.”

Paul got his break in boxing by initially taking on past MMA fighters like Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz, and so a future fight against Till may be an enticing possibility.
