The boxing world is split down the middle about who will come out on top of this weekend’s unified world heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
The first fight was a close contest between the two best in their division. It was former undisputed cruiserweight world champion Usyk who came out on top at the end of 12 rounds to add the undisputed heavyweight crown to his list of accomplishments.
The main difference between the two came in the ninth round when Usyk landed the best shot of the fight and Fury was given a standing count. He later claimed he was having too much fun in the ring, and now he has been working hard in camp on ways to avenge the first loss of his career.
Speaking to talkSPORT Boxing, former world champion turned pundit Paulie Malignaggi revealed that he picked ‘The Gypsy King’ in the first fight but now sees another win for Usyk.
“I’m gonna pick Usyk, I don’t think Fury has it any more. It’s not a disrespect to Fury, I’ve always loved Fury, I’m just not sure he can summon it back any more.”
Fury has shown before that he can turn things around in rematches. He famously drew his first fight with Deontay Wilder[/]tag] but then switched to a more aggressive front-foot style in the next two fights and won both by knockout, which is what he will be hoping to do against Usyk this Saturday night.
