Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul are a matter of days away from doing battle in a controversial heavyweight match-up.

Former unified world heavyweight champion Joshua is set to face the YouTuber-turned-fighter over eight rounds at the Kaseya Center in Miami on Friday night.

‘The Problem Child’ racked up arguably the best win of his professional career on June 28 when he defeated Mexico’s Julio Cesar Chavez Jr at the conclusion of their cruiserweight bout in California.

Joshua, who has been inactive since he was beaten by Daniel Dubois in September 2024, has joined the training camp of former rival Oleksandr Usyk ahead of his return which is said to have had a positive impact on the 36-year-old.

With their controversial meeting just days away from taking place, fans have reacted to a recent claim made by Paul who says the hard-hitting Brit has a ‘weak chin’.

One fan posted: “Yes I’m sure Jake Paul would comfortably get past DDD, Andy Ruiz, Klitchko, etc without taking any damage whatsoever.

Another said: “Yeah knocked out by a massive puncher in Dubois Jake is far from that” – while another added: “So it’s just the reach AJ has on him. Nice insight.”

Whilst he has proved to be one of the best heavyweights of his generation, Joshua has suffered four defeats during his professional career to date with two of these coming via stoppage.

The 36-year-old is reportedly in negotiations to face long-term rival Tyson Fury next year but will be expected to defeat Paul in impressive fashion and come through their upcoming clash without a hitch.
