Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford are just two weeks away from their massive showdown.

Two of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world will collide with one another when Canelo defends his undisputed super-middleweight crown against Crawford at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on September 13.

The fight sees ‘Bud’ jumping up two weight divisions, with his last bout coming in August 2024 when he defeated Israil Madrimov to win the WBA super-welterweight title.

Many boxing figures believe the move up in weight will prove to be too difficult for Crawford, and it appears that one man who is being to tipped to face Alvarez next agrees with that sentiment.

Hamzah Sheeraz is an undefeated super-middleweight contender, who knocked out Edgar Berlanga inside five rounds in his 168lb debut in July.

Turki Alalshikh has stated that Sheeraz deserves a shot at Canelo next and the Brit has told the 5Live Boxing Podcast that he expects it to happen after the Mexican superstar overcomes ‘Bud’ comfortably.

“The Canelo fight, it’s there. It’s the one, providing he goes through Crawford with ease. And I believe he will.

I’d like to face Canelo because the dynamics of the sport as they are now, you’ve got the opportunity to face one of the greatest fighters in boxing so why not challenge myself and go for it and give it my all?”

While Sheeraz expects it to be an easy win for Alvarez, one man who is backing ‘Bud’ to come out on top is two-weight world champion Tim Bradley, who claims Crawford will ‘beat the breaks’ off Canelo.
