No 1 Ranked Fighter Vows To Destroy Anthony Joshua Then ‘Smash’ Fury-Usyk Rematch Winner

Oleksandr Usyk is the new undisputed champion but a number 1 ranked heavyweight is gunning for his titles.

Usyk became the first man to defeat Tyson Fury in an enthralling encounter where ‘The Gypsy King’ looked to be taking control in the middle rounds but was on the verge of getting stopped in the ninth. The fight went to the scorecards where the Ukrainian edged a deserved split decision.

The two are now set to run it back on December 21 in Saudi Arabia and number 1 ranked IBF fighter, Filip Hrgovic has his eye on the winner.

Hrgovic is the IBF mandatory challenger and will fight Daniel Dubois this Saturday for their ‘interim’ heavyweight title.

The winner of that fight is highly tipped to face Anthony Joshua at Wembley in September where the full title could be on the line.

Speaking to iFL TV about his future plans, the Croatian vows to beat Dubois for the interim title, smash Joshua in London and then do the same to the Fury-Usyk rematch winner before hanging up the gloves.

“If I win this fight I hope Anthony Joshua is next but if I really want Anthony Joshua next then I should look terrible because it’ll be harder to get Joshua fight if I look spectacular.

If I knock Dubois out early I think Joshua will fight maybe Cristiano Ronaldo or Conor McGregor next.

If I fight s**t fight then he’ll fight me next. He become business man you know, that’s my opinion. I hope Ido win this fight and I fight Anthony Joshua next.

I’ll smash Joshua then smash the winner of Fury-Usyk rematch and then retire, thats it’s, that’s the plan.”

Hrgovic takes on Dubois on June 1 in Saudi Arabia as part of a Queensberry 5 vs Matchroom 5 card shown live on DAZN PPV.
