Johnny Fisher is looking to build on his recent win and has his sights set on fighting for a title.
Fisher has rebounded well from his knockout defeat to British favourite Dave Allen, after he claimed a controversial win over ‘The White Rhino’ in the first contest.
Since then, Fisher has secured two more wins, one KO and one points victory this past weekend over Michael Pirotton, although it was hard going at times for ‘The Romford Bull.’
Speaking to talkSPORT Boxing, Fisher was respectful about where he is at and what might come next, though he did admit he would be open to a fight with Allen.
“Well, Dave has obviously done amazing things since our second meeting, fighting Hrgovic who is now a world champion, and Makhmudov. That’s a fight that’s always going to be there.
“He’s got a fantastic fan base as well. I’m sure that will fill up the Copper Box or even The O2. It’s not as if I’m jumping at that one because it’s one I can bank on if I’m thinking in my selfish mode. I want to work towards domestic titles.
“Who knows what the future will hold. He might get an offer before me and it makes even more sense. I’m in no position to dictate to people what I think should happen.”
‘The White Rhino’ was stopped by Hrgovic earlier this year before a bizarre no contest with Thomas Carty earlier this month. He has said he doesn’t have many fights left, though he has already been on social media to say he would be open to a rubber match with Fisher.
