“It’s On The Table”: Floyd Mayweather Reveals Talks For Sensational Return To Professional Boxing

Floyd Mayweather Jr could be on the verge of making a shock comeback to professional boxing, over eight years on from his last ring appearance in the paid ranks.

The 48-year-old from Grand Rapids, Michigan drew the curtain on his glittering professional career back in 2017, just months after he defeated MMA superstar Conor McGregor in their monumental crossover bout in Las Vegas.

Mayweather won world titles across five weight classes throughout the course of his undefeated 50 fight career, beating a number of generational greats along the way including Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto and Manny Pacquiao.

Since announcing his retirement from the professional side of the sport, the 48-year-old has made a number of ring appearances in exhibition contests, facing the likes of Aaron Chalmers, Tenshin Nasukawa and Logan Paul.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Mayweather revealed that there have been ‘talks’ about him making a sensational return to professional boxing. as he claims he is ‘working hard’ ahead of his possible comeback.

“It’s on the [table], it’s been talks, it’s been talks, it’s possible … We just don’t know, but as of right now everything is going great, you know, I feel good, working hard each and every day and I can’t wait for 2026.”

Before any return to the professional game, Mayweather is expected to take on Mike Tyson early next year.
