One of the few men to ever go 12 rounds with Anthony Joshua has offered his next opponent, Jake Paul, some advice.
This controversial fight sees the former two-time unified world champion taking on a novice pro who has had just 13 fights at cruiserweight. Joshua is a big puncher who stands over 6ft 6 tall and will weigh a maximum of 245lbs on the night.
He has knocked out the likes of Dillian Whyte, Wladimir Klitschko, Kubrat Pulev and Francis Ngannou, so he brings a considerable amount of threat to this contest for Paul, who has lost just once to Tommy Fury.
Speaking to Boxing King Media, heavyweight contender Joseph Parker, who lost his WBO crown to Joshua but was the first man to take him the full 12-round distance, was asked how he thinks the fight will go.
“You would have to say Joshua has too much. He’s a natural heavyweight; he’s been a unified champion of the world. He’s done everything in boxing, you would have to say that he is going to go in there and knock him out.
He was then asked if he had any tips for Paul on how to survive the eight-round fight.
“What do you do? Be defensive and you pick your moments if you can, if there are moments. He backs himself, Jake Paul, so you never know, but everyone involved in boxing who knows boxing, Joshua is too much for him. Way too much.”
The fight takes place live on Netflix on December 19, with many predicting an easy night for ‘AJ.’
