Jake Paul is a man in high demand as he plots his next move in the sport of boxing.

The YouTuber-turned-fighter was recently ranked as number 14 in the WBA’s Cruiserweight world rankings, making him eligible for a world title shot should champion Gilberto Ramirez decide to take a voluntary.

However, following his win over an inactive and past his best Julio Cesar Chavez, it is a bonafide heavyweight who wants a piece of Paul.

Speaking to Seconds Out, former champion Shannon Briggs, who scored an incredible 37 first round knockouts during his campaign, made his case.

“He should fight me. He fought Mike Tyson was 58, I’m 53,000 years old. You should be able to beat an old man like me. Look at me, I’m fat.”

Asked what would happen, Briggs dropped the sarcasm and said it straight.

“I knock him out in the first round. If it go to round two then it don’t count. One round. An onslaught. An onslaught like you’ve never seen. When the bell rings I run across the ring and just start throwing cannons at him as hard as I can. I’ll hit him so hard in his eye that his ear will fall off.”

Where Paul goes next is unclear. Briggs will be low on the list, however, which is reportedly topped by WBC Cruiserweight World Champion Badou Jack.

‘The Cannon’ does intend to return to the ring regardless, recently talking up a fight with retired MMA superstar Rampage Jackson towards the end of this year.
