The winner of Conor Benn vs Chris Eubank Jr. this weekend at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will be one of the biggest stars in British boxing.

This ‘born rivalry’ was first set to take place back in 2022 but was canned when it was found Benn had failed two doping tests. With his provisional suspension now lifted in the UK and no further action to be taken, he will move up to middleweight to challenge the more experienced Eubank.

Months before their initial fight date, Kell Brook beat Amir Khan by stoppage in another all-British rivalry. Brook officially retired from the sport just a few months later, but has teased a comeback ever since and has been linked with Benn in particular.

Speaking to TalkSPORT, the former welterweight world champion confirmed he will be one of the many stars in attendance. He then backed himself to beat both men.

“I’ll be there next weekend. I’ll be watching … I’d smash them both. Absolutely. It’s in my blood.”

Brook – who backs Eubank to win the fight due to his natural size advantage – also told IFL TV in no uncertain terms that he would take the winner.

“It’s always in my heart. I always have my eye looking. I’ll be looking at Eubank and Benn. It’s hard to walk away. If that fight comes to me I’d still be interested. I’m not in no rush – I’m enjoying my life.

“I’d do it. I’d come back. One more.”

Depending on how the fight plays out, an immediate rematch is a much more likely option for the winner. Eubank has also expressed interest in a fight with Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.
