Tyson Fury has his hands full with a rematch against Oleksandr Usyk but his promoter Frank Warren is already being asked about potential future fights.
Fury is in a new position right now in that he is in camp and working hard to avenge the one and only professional loss in his career so far.
This means he will be heading into his December rematch with the former Olympic gold medalist, undisputed cruiserweight king and former undisputed heavyweight champion as the challenger.
He has spoken of what he did wrong in the first fight back In May, which saw him receive a count in round nine after being caught with a huge shot from Usyk and ultimately losing a split decision.
Fury now has a chance to win three of the four major heavyweight belts and become a three-time champion.
Speaking to Seconds Out, Queensberry boss Warren was asked if he would feel uncomfortable making a fight between Fury, should he win, and current IBF champion Daniel Dubois – another heavyweight in Warren’s impressive promotional stable.
“That may be the case. That is going to be up to the two boxers to decide. But I would be uncomfortable, and I have been involved with fighters before who we promoted fighting each other and we never shied away from it.
“I’m very fond and close with Tyson and also the fact we brought Daniel through and have a good relationship so that would be… talk about fence-sitting, that would be awkward.
“I’d have a sore a**e for a month with that one. It’s business at the end of the day, they’re professional boxers and if it did happen they would make money, we would make money, but it’s a difficult one.”
He was asked how it compared to when he made Joe Joyce versus Dubois in the past.
“That was ordered. Neither of them wanted to pull out.”
Should Fury beat Usyk, the lure of becoming the undisputed champion by then dethroning Dubois, who stopped Anthony Joshua in impressive fashion in September, will be hard to deny.
