Carl Froch Makes His Final Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn Rematch Prediction: “I Hope He Chins Him”

Carl Froch has weighed in on the upcoming rematch between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn.

The pair’s first clash in April at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was a thrilling 12-round battle, with Eubank Jr ultimately securing a unanimous decision victory.

His size and ring experience proved decisive against Benn’s relentless aggression and the long-anticipated showdown lived up to years of tension between the pair, so it makes sense they are doing it all again.

The rematch is confirmed for November 15, once again at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, under the same weight limit and with a strict rehydration clause, allowing no more than a 10-pound gain after the weigh-in.

Former super-middleweight world champion Froch, who sparred extensively with Eubank Jr during his own fighting days, has now offered his take on what might unfold when the two men meet again.

Speaking on Froch on Fighting, he praised both fighters while grudgingly giving a slight edge to his former sparring partner.

“I’ve sparred Eubank Jr, quite a lot of rounds and he’s quite big and strong and tough. For Conor to go twelve rounds with him and have a close fight with him it’s just brilliant. I think Benn, if he takes his time a bit more, he’s got more of a chance.

“I think he did really well. Conor Benn performed out of his skin. He will improve on the next fight and he’s a lot younger than Eubank Jr. I hope Benn chins him. I’m still making Eubank Jr a favourite.”

Eubank recently shared footage and images of himself in the hospital following the last fight and underlining just what a tough night it was for both men.
