Carl Froch Asked If Moses Itauma Beats Fabio Wardley And Daniel Dubois

Carl Froch has assessed where Moses Itauma is at right now in comparison with Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois.

Itauma is the hottest heavyweight in world boxing right now. He is just 21 years old, but impresses each time he steps into the ring.

Most recently, he met American Jermaine Franklin, who had twice fought on these shores, and both times took former world champion Anthony Joshua and veteran challenger Dillian Whyte the full 12 rounds.

Itauama, however, started fast, then settled into his boxing and landed a devastating one-punch knockout in the mid-rounds to take his record to 14-0, with 12 knockouts coming inside the first half of his fights.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, former world champion Froch spoke up Itauma’s chances in the current heavyweight landscape featuring the likes of Wardley and Dubois.

“You’ve got Fabio Wardley, you’ve got Daniel Dubois. I think Moses beat both of them. Obviously, Dubois has that punch that can catch him, as has Wardley. But I just don’t think they’re good enough.

“When you look at Itauma, his speed and the footwork and the combination punching and the power. So I wouldn’t put him in with those two, I think he beats them both, Wardley and Dubois.”

The challenge right now for Itauma’s team will be how to match him. He is unlikely to get a world title shot next with Oleksandr Usyk busy against Rico Verhoeven in May, while Dubois and Wardley fight the same month, though his promoter Frank Warren has promised that he will be back in a big fight in July, and Murat Gassiev is one possible opponent.
