Carl Froch thinks there is one man who could beat the very best of today’s heavyweights including Oleksandr Usyk, Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois.

Froch has been a keen observer as these four big men have held all of the world titles at some stage in recent times.

Usyk is the standout of them all having been the undisputed champion in May last year following impressive and back-to-back points victories over Fury and Joshua, twice, as well as Dubois once back in August 2023.

Right now, he holds three of the world titles and is keen to become undisputed for a second time by facing IBF champion Dubois, although the last time they fought it ended in a 9th round KO for the Ukrainian.

Speaking to talkSPORT Boxing, Froch claimed that late heavyweight great and former world champion George Foreman would have presented them all with a problem.

“George Foreman, if he was around in the era of the heavyweights I’ve just mentioned there, you can forget all the other heavyweights, he’d have bashed them to bits, they wouldn’t have been able to live with him. Tyson Fury would have given him a fight, the sheer size of him, but I still think he’d have done him.”

The large and likeable Foreman passed away this week at the age of 76 and will forever be remembered for his part in the iconic Rumble in the Jungle with Muhammad Ali in 1974 as well as for being the oldest ever man to become world heavyweight champion aged 45.
