Carl Froch has fired back at John Fury about their potential clash in the ring.
Froch has made many enemies since hanging up his gloves, largely via social media and by delivering brutally honest monologues on his own YouTube channel.
As well as spats with Anthony Joshua, he has often criticised ‘Big John’ over the role he has in his son’s corner during fights.
It recently came to a head at Tyson’s press conference to announce his comeback fight against Arslanbek Makmuhdov when John Fury called Froch out once more.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, ‘The Cobra’ explained why the negotiations may break down despite the fact that he is up for the contest.
“He’s been given the opportunity to fight The Cobra, he said ‘I’ll fight ya,’ he’s called it out, he’s gonna give 75% of the money to charity, he talks some waffle, doesn’t he.
“It’s gone to the stage where the broadcasters are quite interested in it and he’s making unreasonable demands now to try and get Tommy Fury on to fight before him and me, so he’s basically put a blockade in their with his son Tommy, which is ridiculous, ’cause let’s be honest, nobody gives a s**t about watching his son fight.”
Froch has not fought since he retired more than a decade ago after knocking out George Groves in the final defence of his world title, while 60-year-old Fury had 13 professional fights, the last of which was in 1995, which he lost by KO to leave his record at 13 fights, eight wins and four losses.
