Carl Froch Teases Comeback After 11 Year Retirement Against Fighter Who Just Scored Brutal KO

Carl Froch could finally be set for a shock return to the ring.

Froch retired from boxing back in 2014 with a victory over George Groves in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium in London, knocking out his rival in the eighth round of their battle.

It brought to an end an extremely successful career for Froch, with ‘The Cobra’ involved in 12 straight world title fights where he claimed wins over the likes of Mikkel Kessler, Lucian Bute and Jermain Taylor.

In recent years, Froch has teased coming out of retirement for a showdown with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, but instead it appears that another big name could be the one to tempt him to lace up the gloves once again.

Darren Till is a former UFC star that has recently transitioned from mixed martial arts to boxing, and was in action at the Manchester Arena on Saturday against another MMA fighter that has made the switch to boxing in former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold.

Till dominated the action from start to finish to claim a vicious third round knockout victory, with Froch in attendance to witness how the fight unfolded.

Speaking prior to the bout, Froch admitted he wanted to see how Till looked up close and personal.

“Darren Till’s been talking a bit of s***e lately. Talking a bit of rubbish, like he does. So I just thought I’d come and have a look if he can fight. I’ve had a go back at him. At the end of the day, all I want to do is see if he shapes up. What he looks like in the flesh. Apparently he’s a big geezer, I’m not that big. I’m only here to have a bit of fun.”

Following Till’s victory, Froch chose to leave the arena rather than get in the ring, much to the Liverpudlian’s anger.

“Where the f**k is Carl Froch you little s**thouse. You’ve got so much to say on your YouTube channel. Get in this ring. He’s f**ked off. He’s not about that life.”

Froch is expected to respond in the coming days, where it should become clear if a fight against Till could actually come to fruition.
